Morpheus8 Face

Morpheus8 face is a non-surgical, minimally invasive technique that combines microneedling and radiofrequency to remodel the skin on multiple levels of the dermis and subdermis, along with resurfacing the epidermis. This is a subdermal adipose remodeling device (SARD) that fractionally remodels and contours the face and body. This microneedling device uses 24 gold plated needles that have the ability to penetrate at different desired depths, whether it’s superficially into the outer most layers of the skin or deep into the fat layer. Morpheu8 face has the ability to penetrate at deeper depths than any other microneedling device, as deep as 4mm in depth. There are many competing microneedling machines on the market; however, Morpheus8 face is the only patented radiofrequency bipolar technology on the market. This allows each row of needles to be effective in creating the closest microinjuries, ablating fat and stimulating collagen and elastin cycles. This has the ability to treat an array of concerns such as acne scars, texture, pigmentation issues, falling fat pads (double chin and jowls), skin sagging, fine lines and wrinkles, surgical scars, and reverses the signs of aging with minimal downtown.

The Protocol

The recommended initial treatment protocol is 3 treatments, performed 4-6 weeks apart, then a one-time touch-up annually. There are different tip types available (regular, prime, and resurfacing tips) based on the patient’s concern which all consists of gold-plated needles. The gold-plated needles are designed so that the tip of the needles never get dull, creating tiny punctures through the skin without tugging and pulling, therefore, increasing comfort levels. This procedure is approved for all skin types.

When does IPL occur if added onto procedure?

If IPL is added onto your Morpheus8 treatment, it will be done during the same visit; however, it will be performed first before Morpheus8 and before any numbing.

Numbing process

We work closely with a compound pharmacy who designs our numbing gel compound that is specifically designed to help with pain control for Morpheus8. This numbing gel is placed on the area for 45 minutes. Nerve blocks with 1% lidocaine may also be used for the face if max lidocaine dosage has not been met. An additive is combined with the lidocaine to ensure there is no burning from the medication itself. The nerve blocks are performed 10 minutes before the procedure. A lozenge will be given 5 minutes before the procedure with has a combination of pain control, anxiety control, and nausea control to allow us to achieve the best results. The medication in the lozenge has a short-half and wears off within 45 minutes of taking it, allowing the patient the ability to drive themselves to and from their appointment.
